The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - My Miami WMC 2005 experience

The Good - We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Royal Palms Hotel and it was AWESOME. We had 2 suites near the pool, and it was literally spitting distance to the sand. The rooms were clean, fit 4 comfortably, and service was fantastic.
If you like to people-watch, South Beach is a must. We met and saw some of the most interesting/weird/colorful/funny-looking people all over the world.
The pool parties were great.
Mansion is such a nice club! We had a great time there.
THE BAD - The service everywhere. People must not like their jobs or something. Cashiers, cab drivers, waitresses, bartenders, bouncers, etc (basically anybody that took our money)...for being in the service industry, they were pretty rude and acted put out when we asked for anything. On rare occasions we had great service, and let them know we appreciated it with a phat tip.
THE UGLY - Man, the Guidos and weirdos were everywhere. I never saw so many horny, aggressive, disrespectful meatheads in 1 place. My girlfriend got grabbed, touched, etc. everywhere she went. Sometimes while I was with her, sometimes not. If they weren't grabbing or touching, they were leering. All the girls in our group experienced the same thing. Other years we went weren't this bad. Anyone else experience this?

My Girl Gia and I had a Blast!! Soooo many great memories, this was my first time ever in Miami and to have it be for the WMC just topped it off!
Only Ugly part was catching a God Awful cold.....and now i feel as if i am going to die!!! :( but all the crazy times were SOOO worth it!!! :D :D :D |

Take it as a compliment. I've been there before. Yea, it sucks, but that's life. Rude guys are everywhere. |
