ipod, Santos help

dude i know u got an ipod, i just got one myself. Question is, i added all the tracks to it but its so ing disorganied. I know it dosent work as a directory but as a database.
Question is, how do i edit the tags or what the hell should i do to organize the files better? |

helps if you are organize to begin with.
first keep everything in seperate folders, ex.
Rock Latino
Punk Rock
Rock
Indie Rock
now that you have your folders, place every song that fits into that category. view as details. go to genre, and make sure they are all in the same genre. properties, blah blah blah. also artist and albums.
now when you upload them using, itunes. you can browse through genres, albums, or artist. organizing your mp3s is going to take you awhile, though. i have close to 1500 tune in my ipod right now. that took for fecking ever.
no one here ever helped me get a free one. u bastards.

k im gonna reformat it then. Yeah ihave my folders separated by albums. All except electronica, i got that in one folder (the singles)because they are basically all the same genre.
Im renaming all the ID3 tags...its aking a while yeah.
and packa, i got a regular 20GB. |

you can actually shut that off. I usually just do it myself manually. Also you can edit the tags inside of itunes. Meh that's the way I do it. |

| oh hey one more thing, someitmes iget like double artists, or the same album twice. for example i have the album Any Given Thursday twice. its 2 Cds, but i have like 9 tracks n one part and 2 on the other. how do i fix that? and How do i keep one artist nam and any track/live sets under it without having the same artist twice. |

make sure they all match exactly the fecking same, any little variation and you will end up with two or more artist that are supposed to be one.
highlight that group, properties, author enter name. that should solve that issue. its all about organizing and being nit picky about it.
everything categorize somewhat; genre, artist, album and so on
