this was all just miscommunication and poorly handled.
I think it would be great to see more co-operation between groups, and to see things like TA logos, even small ones, on some of these posters and events. Probably going to far but it might be nice to see a TA rep at some of these events, much like what T.nu does. (Although the last one doesn't really fit as well.. nor am I saying that it should be mandatory or of any like that any event to be posted here should require a TA logo). I just see a lot of the regular people that attend these events post on here, and its kind of nice to see when the promoters take notice of things like that.
Clubvibes and FNK is where a lot of the promotion takes place these days, because a lot of non-electronic or non-trance people go to those boards, and so they build stronger relationships with those groups to try and attract larger audiences (I'm sure every single person here has at one point or another tried to tie, gag and drag a non-electronic, hip hop listening top 40 friend of theirs to a gig like Armin or Ferry, and gotten about as much resistence as trying to get a hog out of mud on a hot summer day). Promoters post here mostly because their events are electronic based and well.. this is TA!
I'd also like to see more promoters co-operating (although I realize the spirit of competition and a lot of burnt bridges, fueds and broken relationships exist, and so that will never truly happen, but I remember, no names mentioned, some people trying to hold gigs of their own after avidly supporting other groups for a long time, and not getting a SINGLE drop of help in return when in no way the events these people were trying to hold were in any direct competition (ie timing/DJs/etc)).
*shrugs*
No it wasn't technically spam but it was sort of annoying in a way to see like 20 posts on there, but then again i just need more sleep. |
