to many genre's these days and even sub-genres

one might say marco v plays tech-trance, the other tech, the other prog...its nevereneding.

people understand music and types of music different to one another and thats y we have these sorta genre conflicts. i rekon go back to the mid to late 90's when trance was just trance.

i would say that he is a tech DJ through and through. although he is one of the true pioneer of trance -- or laid down the blueprint of trance sound.(with the other one being oliver lieb, who is a tech dj as well).

Trance Nutter
John Askew is tech-trance
Timski
Marco V is prob one of the most known for tech trance gear, also Oliver (i have too many names) Klitzing has some aspects of tech trance too him aswell. Doesnt it all mean the repeditiveness of driving techno with distortion and purcussion etc... With the melodys and trance sounds put together with it? I am not a master of music discussion so forgive me if iam wrong :D

Also Dave Clarke?... why dont you call Kevin Saunderson and Jeff Mills tech trance while your at it?

back in the old days, clarke and cox used to play the occasional tek-trance set...even had techno elitests asking me if they still make that 'kinda Richie Hawtin like tek trance, you know the stuff he used to play...' (and these are tek elitests)
