Trance

Prototrance
Its still good if you know where to look / can be arsed to look for the good stuff. Being a combined vinyl junkie and archiving whore means I'm always looking and buying.

I got into the more progressive trance sound in about 2000, tracks like Chris raven - I know you love me too (van bellen remix) and LSG - Netherworld (Jules verne mix).

But still today great uplifters come along, yes some of them may be using the same formula, but it works. I like to think I've got a good balance of genres in my collection.

Typical Trance - I still like it loads if done properly.
Progressive trance - Pushes the boundaries and drops the 'formula' but still maintains melody and subtly uplifts.

In the last 3 years I've got increasingly into prog house, breaks, deep house, tech house etc. You got to keep it interesting.

Im still very much into trance but I do have to say that I will always be gutted that I missed the days of euphoric trance at its best! Went to Classics @ Heaven on Thurs and the tunes just blew me away! Really makes you realise the difference!

Damn my friends and their sh1te taste in music back then!
