Hey everyone! Please excuse my english. I was wondering if anyone could tell me of some good clubs to go to in Stockholm. I want to know what the nightlife is like there. I have some friends that are girls that live there but when I take a trip I dont really want to see them, they're not the best looking girls and so I'm going to do my own thing without them knowing I'm in town visiting. Anyhow, if you want to hear progressive music or house music....where should I go? And do any of you know the names to any upscale clubs and not just hole in the wall rave clubs? I kind of want to see everything the nightlife has to offer from rave clubs to the most popular club there and definitely the clubs that have the hottest women Stockholm can offer. I don't care if it's hip/hop or not.
Also, what are some culture things to do while there visitng? Like sight-seeing stuff. For example, can you go and visit the King's Castle? What are some good Museums to go visit? And can anyone reccommend a good place to stay thats not too expensive being as I'll be there 1-2 weeks? I'd rather save money getting a fairly good hotel and spend more money on doing things around the city. And do any of you have any restaraunts you know of that you could reccommend eating at while visiting? Also, are there any festivals coming up in the spring or summer I should check out? I'm trying to plan my trip now and I want to come at just the right time. Do you guys celebrate May Day?

unfortunately there are no regular edm clubs around.. there is one place that usually plays house or prog, called grodan, it has an age limit of 23 tho, dunno how old you are.
for girls you can go almost anywhere in town but there's always plenty of girls at the clubs at the east side of town called stureplan, checkin out places like buddha bar, laroy, kharma, mera bar, etc wont make you disappointed, although I hate those places personally, bratpacks everywhere.
there're always some new clubs popping up that play edm but the come and go so if you give the exact date when you're staying here then we can check the party agenda and tell you what's planned for just then.
Also there are larger edm events every now and then and those are (imo) the most funny ocassions to go out.
museums? heh well it depends what you're interested in,, and if you just want to visit museums to be able to tell you're granny that you've acted the cultural nice boy and visited museums, i guess the Wasa ship museum, the national museum, the royal armor musem and the city museum are a few targets of choice for sweden related exibitions.
Stockholm doesn't have too many festivals in the party way, we used to have the 'water festival' but i believe they don't do it anymore, so I doub't you'll have any festivals here. there are a few music festivals in other parts of sweden and in denmark if you're up for a trip though, but i don't know the exact dates of those.
May day? not sure what the swedish translation is, but we have a few holidays in may I think.. Valborg being one, maybe that's the equivalent of americas may day. |

princess madeleine is going to laroy, café opera, kharma and köket.. maybe some other place too.. but that's the one's that po's up in my head now :p
dunno how much she's out partying now a days thou.. she's starting to get serious again.. haha :p
i haven't partied much in sthlm.. but from what i have heard those places should be good.. if you like the people.. :)
have only been to köket of those i mentioned.. and i thought it was rather nice there :p :) |
