Cubase *Offbeat*

I have had this problem since i first got cubase
i cannot move samples around without them being offbeat
it doesnt give me enough manurivage, to get anything to start at the same point
its porbarbly just a small setting or something,
Anyway anyone know it ?

| It is the 'snap' setting. This snaps whatever part you are moving to the nearest whatever you specify. |

It probably is the snap button - looks like >l< At the top of the toolbar, or if you want more control you can highlight the sample, goto AUDIO > EVENTS TO PART, then when you double click the sample again it will go into the sample editor and allow you to slice the sample at the beats and move them (to get the kick eg.) at exactly the right points. (if that makes any sense at all?!)
