| Yeah its fair enough-each to their own etc, but personally i've had a really bad experience on mushrooms and know someone who had a bad time with x too. It worries me that someone like my brother could go into a shop and buy a bag of mushrooms, and i'm pretty sure they could put him in a state of mind he couldn't handle. I used to think it should be up to the end user if they want to take various chemicals, but there are too many people who aren't wise enough to make these decisions for themselves... |

this is true BUT it is annoying that this should spoil it for everyone else who is careful, think with mushrooms you can have a really bad experience but you wouldnt die or have any lasting damage, you would just probably never take mushrooms again. |

Out and Out lie..... NO!! I take your point that it was quite a broad statement but physically they are harmless. Psycologically i would agree they could cause you damage, possibly long term. The point is that if you take a sensible dose no physical harm will come to you unless you are allergic to them but that could be said about every consumer product released on the planet. There will always be the minority who will have adverse mental conditions and in extreme cases the mushrooms might push them over the edge but if people take a sensible first does and build up from there the chances are practically non existent. If the shrooms are made illegal again then the only option for consumers will be to go back and pick them fresh which opens up the door to picking poisonous fungi.

I personally think it should be left to the end user to educate themselves before they take any kind of drug. I'm with Stu why ruin it for those who take the five minutes it requires to ask a friend or search the internet. I wouldnt take anything that i didn't know what it was or what it would do to me, its plain stupidity. Surely your brother wouldn't do such a thing, you have told him your point of view haven't you...... |
