If only Baghdatis didn't choke with the double break points in the second set. It would have been a different outcome. Oh well, he's proven his potential after being junior champ 3 years ago to final of a grand slam. Got the crowd behind him. He's on his way. Though he didn't thank his gf in his speech lol.

Honestly guys, if baghdatis is as good as you claim he is then he will have no problems winning some small events and making it through to the semis in most majors this year.
The way I personally see it is he is pretty inconsistent and doesnt have a mixed bag of tricks either.. all he has is the running cross court forehand passing shot and it may have worked well for him in the leadup to the final but you really get to see how ineffective it is against a guy who has such a variety of play like Federer.
I think the Federer/Haas match was much more Final material than last nights, it wasn't exciting for me :/. |

Easier said than done Erratik.......Its obvious he was very overwhelmed by the win! If he keeps going the way he is playing, he could become the best player Tennis ever produced!!!
Credit goes to Bagdhatis for reaching the finals! He is a superstar now not only in his own country, but here as well!
The only thing that doesnt seem right to me is, is that Muresmo won the final on Saturday & on Sunday's Herald Sun front cover, there had no picture of her, instead it had a picture of Bagdhatis. Today on the front page of the newspaper- has a massive picture of Bagdhatis not Federer-who clearly & rightfully earned to have his picture there.
