Chakvatadze definitely deserved to win the first set but messed up a bit in the tie-breaker. Atleast 10 times in this game Sharapova put out easy lobs which otherwise she probably would have nailed it in!!!! |
True, but excellent ing games in teh 2nd set especially all the same.
Nice long rallies... Maria was not playing at her best level, but seemed to be merely scraping by, matching Chakvatadze's... but it meant interesting, long games to watch.
I quite enjoyed that match. Frustrating to watch her fight and falter thought, while trying to close out the match (several times) |
