I must say that we at MaddHatter have anjoyed every minute of bringing you quality EDM events in Atlanta. Our shows gave you a bit more bang for you buck with lasers, added sound, dancers, cryogenics, and decorations...the little details that truly make an event a party.
Our goal in producing events was to debut artists in the city, bring you unique lineups that we wanted to see (other than at WMC of course) and to bring back Dj's that had not graced our city in some time. I feel that we accomplished that goal over the last 2 1/2 years.
As I am sure you are aware, this is a very competitive promotional market, and the risk has now far surpassed the return for us.
To our loyal supporters (and you know who you are) our deepest thanks because without you none of this would have been remotely possible.

DARA - (Breakbeat Science, NYC)
Since his first record release in 1995, Dara has produced a string of highly successful singles and remixes as well as his 1997 full-length debut "Halfway Home (sm-e communications) has been a huge critical and commercial success. As a result from both his successful DJing and recording endeavors, Dara has become one of the most recognizable faces on the US drum 'n' bass scene. He has been featured in countless magazine appearances and interviews both in the US and worldwide. Breakbeat Science is not only his label, but it is also the first and biggest drum 'n' bass store, co-founded by Dara. Dara has done an array of remixes including on singles from DJ's such as Keoki, Pizzicato Five, Dog Eat Dog, Black Nostaljack and Afrika Bambaata. With the recent eruption of Drum and Bass in the U.S., DJ Dara isn't going anywhere. There is no telling what kind of damage his next endeavors might do.
DB (Breakbeat Science, NYC)
Arriving in New York from London in '89, it could be said that no one has done more for Drum & Bass in America than DB. First with his hardcore Breakbeat club NASA, then by launching Sm:)e communications and releasing the first Jungle singles and compilations in the U.S, as well as signing DJ Dara, thus kick starting his artist career. He and Dara then opened Breakbeat Science, dedicated to Drum & Bass, It quickly become not only the most respected record store and label, but also the very epicenter of the jungle community in the U.S. With over 10 mix Cd’s released over the last 10 years and countless tracks spun by Dj’s across the land…Db is one artist that has crossed over into a level few have done in the states. It is our pleasure to welcome DB back to Atlanta.

Hagen,
I hate to see you leave the promotion scene. You've thrown some of the most memorable parties I've ever attended (can anyone say SANDER KLEINENBERG AT THE MARK??? party of the YEAR!!!) You've been nothing but kind, generous, honest, and I have yet to meet a promoter who cares so much about their fellow members in the community, the music, and throwing the best damned party they can!
This isn't easy for any of us. I know how much you love putting these parties on, and I know how much all of us LOVE going to them. We'll never forget the good times though :)
Thanks for adding so much to our community!!! You've made Atlanta an awesome place to party, and we truly appreciate everything you've done :)

This is really a sad day in Atlanta. Hagen is such a kind dear friend and the funniest and best damn promoter ever!!! This is so sad that we are now losing out Maddhatter Radio Events. Hagen you know I have nothing but love for you. We have to party more at events and you won't have to worry about "smooshing"!! I had such a great time at each event I came to of yours and so has each one of my friends I have brought with me. Don't forget about us!!
