Therefore i need something to help me distinguish between the 2 and the nightlife is perhaps that factor.

Good point.
have you tried looking at the male/female ratio? :p
Also try looking at the course structure, a more mathematical approach and a more interesting set of core modules helped me decide on nottingham.
For example the core modules of Mirco and Macro in both year 1 and year 2, sounded a lot more to my taste than at other universities.
Have a look at the course outline and the core modules, pick which is most interesting. Decide wether you will be looking at BSc or BA and go from there. |

the course i have been accepted to is a BA, thus not as math orientated as a BSC, although good advise about the course guidelines ill give it a look over at weekend.
And as far as going to manchester and living at home, forget that. lol.
BTW one more question, how many of you guys have taken your decks and mixers to uni with you and if so did you take out extra insurance on them. |

ah i didnt noticed u lived in bolton first time round. Again i was in a similar position living in Chester so Manc was only 40 mins drive. That all depends on how desperate u are to get away from home and how often u think u would go back. Newcastle isnt too far from bolton, id say about a 2-2.5 hrs drive. So its surely doable but with Manchester being so close depends what ur parents are like and whether they are likely to make unannounced visits which are never a good thing believe me.
Looking at ur other choices ur def right to be looking at the two u are, the others just arent as good accademically or otherwise. But the choice now really is up to you, we can all sit here and try n persuade u one way or another but i can gurantee you will have a wikked time at either place. Go to the open days for both and go look round, u might just get a better feel for one or the other as a lot of people do. |

When i was in halls, insurance was included in my fees. Hence no.
But when i moved into a house this year, I did take out insurance, but for items under like £500 you dont have to list them seperatly. You just tell the the combined total of your possesions, with the exception of certain items such as jewelry.
So I wouldnt worry either way unless you got A+H Xone 92 and 2xcdj 1000's, and then you gotta go about listing these items seperatly in your policy.
Oh and prepare to be raped in terms of cost if you want a decent policy. In the end I got raped by Endsleigh, but its nice to have have peace of mind. |
