Question for the religious nuts

Not trying to start a long and pointless thread, but after seeing how much depth some of the people on this forum go into when explaining themselves, and the validity of their religion, I just had to ask:
How does religion explain dinosaurs?
Again, not asking to be a prick, but I seriously do want to know what the religious take is. |

| Only a fundamentalist Christian would even attempt to disagree with the existence of dinosaurs and with the theory of evolution. From a scientific standpoint I know that evolution is real. Its markedly obvious when studying proteins to see the evolution from one type of protein to the next. There was a girl in my Organic Chem 2 class that tried to argue with the professor about evolution. She claimed she was standing up for all the "christians". |

the earth before the noah flood was full of vegetation, and food, and water, abundant resources for such huge creatures. i.e. t-rex, saber-tooth, giant sloth, woolly mammouth, the long neck dino's, etc. and there were smaller creatures, but they they need less energy and food to function and survive.
after the flood, the vegetation, barely as much as there was before. the dinosaurs dont have the food supply they once had, or water supply, needed for such "big" creatures. the enviroment was so much different from before, they eventually just died off.
hope this wont spin-off like the other thread. |

| Ok I'll go ahead and tell you what I was taught at school since I went to Catholic school from the age of 3 till I graduated in 2002. A "day" in the Bible, specifically in the first story of creation in Exodus (yes there are 2 stories of creation in Exodus) doesn't necessarily correspond to an Earth day (24 hours). The story is symbolic its not meant to be taken literally. |

you're just as fundamentalist as a secular/evolutionist/atheist whatever u are, as i am in my belief in christianity. my beliefs are totally rational with sound evidence that i have presented in the other thread. in my investigation of everything, to me it all points to intelligent design. may not be to you, and that fine. but u dont have through up words like fundamentalist, and religious, as an insult. |

what is a day to god?? he is not held by the contraints of space and time. but once day and night were separated, then there was a 24 hour period of day. and in the original hebrew, the word for day specifically meant the period of daylight that was in each 24 hour period. so it was a literal 7 days. |

TranceVanDyk likes to force religions onto people. Since I believe in science, I'm a naturalist, since you accept evolution, you're an evolutionist. |
