| i dont think i knew what to expect from ronski speed on friday. i have been listening to his remixes forever which never fail to dissapoint, however i have never really heard live mixing from him, aside from the set that is posted up on this site. maybe im just slowing down in my old age, but i could not get into the constantly hard and continous beat that hardly changed. i really think that ronski should stick with producing, because his tracks wernt masterfully selected, and his mixing was so so. in my opinion SIGNUM was worlds better than fridays show. it makes no sense that ronski is dj #83 on the djs list when signum doenst even appear in the top 100. signums track selection, mixing and overall presentation was in my opoinion worthy of a top 20 spot, whereas ronski i think should be ranked on a producers list instead of on a DJs list. sorry to hate, but i just tell i t like i see it, and i was suprised to see all these excellent reviews. but it was good to see jake, sean and josh, amongst alot of other familiar faces. the night turned worked out later, because halfway through the show i left for the casino and i won my admission back, plus more! |

i really liked the show, because he went hard, plyaing alot of the (IMO) lamer new melodic tracks (the tracks arent lame, just the whole genre of slow, barely trance, barely dance music), but playing them harder, faster, and mixing in some techno and electro to really move the crowd. That is dance music. No hanging around for a 2 minute buildup, no listening to a one minute melody, just build, break, build break, pound pound pound. THe fact is he is a very high energy dj, unlike alot of the more subdued djs that tend to come through viva and plush. From his productions, i was surprised to hear him open it up and play the tracks several BPM faster than i was expecting. His productions are so mellow and lacking a really poundiong beat.
i was surprised, but pleasantly. |

I don`t think your getting old, your just one of the more perceptive people who went to the show.I thought his track selection was great but his mixing wasn`t always on point.Pretty much how i thought he was going to be,great guy who is a much, much better producer than dj.All in all it was a very fun night with great tunes, thanks again Danny. |
