2005 Gets Bugged

Start off 2005 in style with Steve Bug (Berlin, Poker Flat) on Saturday January 1, 2005 at Project located at 126 Sherbourne. Steve will be touching down in Toronto as part of a limited run of Canadian dates. His appearance in Toronto will be a real treat for local fans to see him in such an intimate environment. Certainly not a party to miss and not a bad way to bring in the New Year!

Steve's latest CD compilation on Poker Flat entitled "Bugnology" is garnering much praise from the press. Some include:

"The track selection is first class with perfect crossovers. Fresh Sounds, phat basslines, mad ideas and sexy vibes - that's how House Music should sound in 2004!" (Raveline)

"This is possibly the best Poker Flat CD release, featuring an all-star cast, including Sasse, I:Cube, Guido Schneider, Kango's Stein, Massiv, Justus Kohncke and many others. From the first track on, this is a superb mix, sure to sound fresh" (Klublife, Canada)

About Steve Bug:

Germany’s minimal dance connoisseur, Steve Bug, started his DJ-career in a small after-hour bar near Ibiza’s Space back in 1991 - soon becoming resident DJ in the best club in his hometown Bremen and booked to major German events such as the Love Parade. In 1993 he releases his first productions on Hamburg-based Superstition Recordings (which were immediately licensed by Risin’ High- UK) and in 1996 he founds his own label Raw Elements, followed by a 12“ for Felix Da Housecat’s Radical Fear imprint.

Steve Bug’s continues playing with seductive and laid-back funk, dirty retro basslines and random bleeps, incorporates techno electro and basic funk into bare house grooves creating moody minimal and seductive music. More recent releases such as Future Retro 101, Traffic Signs (1 and 3) follow showing Steve’s love for the dancefloor and prove that he has an over abundance of funk and minimal melody coursing through his veins.

Steve will be supported by local favorites Andrew Allsgood, Adam Marshall and Caspian Rabone.
