I agree with you Sean, if someone has gotten to the level of a professor, they'll generally know their stuff pretty well. As for getting along with them, personalities clash easily, it's how it goes I guess.
If I end up getting into UBC, I'll probably ask to meet up with some TA's, get shown around etc.... Will I be able to ask some of you?

well obviously if you're a prof you know something... but that doesnt mean they're great teachers, ive been lucky so far and had decent profs all round, but my friends are always complaining about idiotic or biased profs.
even in english for example, this year i have a guy who is NEVER wrong, so basically if you venture a differing opinion, he goes "yeah... but no i dont think so"
to everything and everyone...
so i was just wondering if any of the english ones stood out, to your knowledge, sean :D who's your shakespeare prof, and what course #? |

| English 348, 6 credit Shakespeare/Elizabethan class. Prof is K. Sirluck, she's awesome, I would definitely definitely recommend her if you take this class. This is my favourite class by far. |

widget, you're definately better off at ubc. my comp sci prof does most of his work with c and fortran and lots of dumb ass ppl think hes retarded.
on the other hand, my friend is taking first year econ this year at ubc, and shes got the worst prof. no offense to anyone, but the guy is a weirdo. hes white, but hes the worst asian wannabe you'll meet, ok not really, i know a pretty bad one. anyways, this prof's website has hello kitties all over lol. ill ask my friend what the link is and post it later. |
