Not true...I did just that, and it only made me a bigger slacker.

You don't know procrastination until you're staring at a partial differential equasion which seemingly has no solution and it's only the first part of a physics problem which has the simplest of answers....Will this break or not?

True i totally agree. Knowing i had 1 class to graduate i postponed everything to the last minute. I've been up till 3 or 4 every night for the last two weeks desperately trying to finish all my papers (and i don't mean library research papers). The one i'm on now (Geochemistry) is killing me, definetely more calculus, physics and chemistry then i had planned on.....

take advice when its given and do all your papers well in advance that way you can coast the rest of the way.

Hah, this thread exemplifies the exact same problem I was talking about in the "Seasonal Affective Disorder" thread. I don't want to actually solve my problems, just give me some drugs to make them disappear!!

Seriously, whatever happened to responsibility? Chris had the right idea - if you want to get things done, just put an ASS LOAD of things on your plate. The more that you have to do, the more you'll get done, and the variety helps to subdue the boredom.

Think of going to a Chinese buffet and trying to finish half a plate of rice vs. an overflowing plate of chicken wings, sesame beef, mixed vegetables, chow mein, rice, spare ribs, General Tso chicken and two egg rolls. You'll probably finish the huge-ass plate, but not the other one. Every master of the buffet knows that the secret to eating the owners out of house and home is to take tiny portions of everything at once and repeat several times. It's no different with menial tasks that you need to get out of the way.

People really need to start looking for a quick fix to anything and everything. Real solutions require real work.
