wouldn't worry about being few tube stops from where u need to be...travelling 10 tube stops on the underground is the same as travelling 2 tube stops

public transport is great in london, just make sure you live on a tube line and major bus route, as night buses are a really easy way to get home. Mine takes about 45 mins from trafalger square.

As for the area of london you live in there are loads good areas an loads of bad, generally people live in one area and rave about that one, people north of the river swear the south is e and vice versa

i live north its fine, i know people who live south, its fine,
i know people who live east its fine, i know people who live eat its fine,

my only recommendation is to not live in peckham or hackney dodgy as . Admitedly i'm currently a 10 min walk for hackney, but harringey is fine :)

lmao hackney.....atomic energy and chichime were held in the Eq warehouse....dodgy as FCUK area of hackney wick..not the sort of place to need to find a cash machine *ahem* amazing nights at EQ tho....wish they would do more.
