Yeah, it was one of 'those' moments alright (especially considering I was in one of 'those' states :p). But really, it's one of my favourite pieces of music of all time and to hear it on Metro's sound system (in the middle of a Jeff Mills set no less) just makes it all the more special.

was it layered over another tracks or not?

Can't remember how he mixed into it now, but no, he definitely just played it straight out for like 2-3 minutes without anything over the top of it (in my typical fashion I was trying to point out to everyone around me - whether they knew me or not - exactly how cool and innovative this was. I know -all about DJing, but I sure know how to talk about it... :stongue: ). He mixed out into some other ambient track from memory (or at least a track with some ambient intro), but the beauty of Mahler's 5th is that it's so broody and repetitive that it can fit perfectly into a set of psuedo-ambient electronic music. All it really demonstrated, in the end, was just how much of a musical maestro Jeff Mills really is I guess. :)

Dude, I saw his post-Bass Mozart mash-up. You're preaching to the choir.
