TRANCEADDICT : Time for an Upgrade!

I originally posted this in Music Discussion, but want to know what you guys think too.
The reason I'm posting in this forum is because this is where most TA's visit and contribute their opinions, so here I go.
Tranceaddict is in a serious need for an upgrade!!! :o
I'm noticing that on the home page, that I don't even have to scroll down half way, and there lies the list of the 2003 top DJ's. 2004 is now coming close to an end, and there's only about a half dozen new things on this site from over a year ago!
Obviously tranceaddict thrives solely on the forums. To keep people updated on what's happening, and to chat with others about anything on their minds... but for someone like me who has been visiting TA on a regular basis for the past 4 years, I'm really getting bored. :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
I admit, everytime I enter this site, it's right to the Forums page, because that's all this site is really about right? But seeing that there are sooooo many new TA's, the forums are getting redundant and boring :nervous:
What's gonna make me want to keep coming back here? I'm not seeing anything new on this site for me to explore. As if it's been said that Tranceaddict is fine the way it is, and nothing needs to be changed. Well, I think TA should be taken a little more seriously by it's founders and keep people coming back to it.
What's the point in having these other pages, when there's nothing new
It'd be nice to see more tracks added more often, more interviews, more general info without having to search the entire site before stubbling across it.
I will always be a tranceaddict! I love it here, but it's time someone took some time to put more into it. It feels like a long-lost high school project with potential... that was just left along the way.

well, i come here mostly for the western TA part. its a good way of staying in touch with people and a place to find out about up coming events. i dont go out to other sections much. visit .nl forums once in a while but thats about it. so to me, personally, it probably wouldnt make much difference if there were updates on the home page. i do agree that there havent been many new features since i first started coming here, except that this place grew almost exponentially. i was on another site with message boards that started up at about the same time as TA, the other place introduced some major changes and is now pretty much dead, yet TA is striving and is getting bigger and bigger.
i have nothing against new things added to the site, but i'd be very cautious about it. it may suddenly drop dead just like the other site i was on |

i don't think that a major TA facelift is too far off .. Swamper has been planning it for ages and i think it's finally coming around very soon ..
some of the new beta stuff like the events subforum has been tested in the TOTA forum and it's working like a charm, so more good things to come!

to me, it doesn't matter if the home page gets updated or not. i rarely ever venture over there anyway. :p |

ya an upgrade would be nice but its not really important... i think most ppl that come here are happy with the way things are now. maybe a visual upgrade? :0
would be nice to see TA do something like t.nu on the front page but with more content and less useless stuff. there are alot of ppl that would be willing to contribute to it and it would easily be the largest trance news site on the internet. |

personally, i don't come here to be impressed by layouts. i come here for info's about music and our scene. this site is about content, plain and simple.
to be honest i don't even go to the main page, because it is outdated. however that is not the heart of ta, these forums are. and the information on these forums is anything but outdated. |

BTW - the main pages (that never get updated) receive 80% of the daily traffic on the site, the forums are 20%.
The advertising on those pages is what pays for the server that the forums run on, so, thank the others ;) |

they just had to let you go because of your insane demands for salary. probably was the reason they went downhill too cause they can't afford other upgrades. :p
as for swamper's post, i find it VERY SHOCKING that only 20% of the bandwidth are from the forums. :wtf: |

| actually i got fired because i didnt contribute to their database for the 5 months that i was away and didnt have access to a computer :rolleyes: but whatever, vec was getting all weird and could no longer afford my valuable services anyways :p you were right on the spot that mark ;) |
