Hey everyone...

Going on a couple years production experience; been working on this sick track for a few weeks. Looking for some initial feedback. I think the melody and progression rock, overall structure needs more variance, but I'm waiting to see if my vocalist wants to collaborate before I do the final layouts and edits, but I was hoping to see what you other TA's thought about it first...

Feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks for taking the time to listen. MP3 Streams @ 128kbs, 7min:57sec...

C'mon, somebody has to have listened to this...

Impressions? Please? ;-)

starts out pretty dark with some pretty crappy percussion samples. That hat really needs to go. Bass is to muffled, kick gets pushed away. Synths that come in all sound really old skool, and arent very well mastered. when that big synth comes in i cant hear the kick anymore, mastering is very bad. Melody doesnt do anything to me so far. Without the kick and percussion it sounds better, kick and perc have no drive at all. No i dont like this track...sorry. Its to dark for me and kick and perc are not really good. Melody is not my thing aswell. Mastering can be better aswell. Synthwork is ok though and the whole atmoshphere is good.

Just gave your track a listen. I like some of the synths you used and the melody is alright and has potential but the track is repetitive. Besides the robotic sounding voice and the removal and addition of the kick/percs, I felt like I was hearing the same arrangement from the 2 minute to 7 minute mark. The build ups just need to be longer and more convincing. The kick/percs could also be improved.

Now that I've provided feedback on your track, can you give me feedback on my track? :) It has been viewed 30 times but I haven't gotten one post. Here's a link if you feel obilged.

you/re right, it was the same from 2 mins on, mostly because I am waiting to see what my vocalist will want to do, then I can build the track better as a whole. I will drop the robo voice when I get my real female vocals. Thanks for the input. Longer builds are in the works and I will get a better overall structure. I will check your track out now, and give you my input...

Diggabyte - I like the atmosphere in this a lot - just lose that really bad hi hat - it ruins the song a wee bit. If you lose it i think you may be onto something with this track.
Let me know if you make any changes to this - It sounds like it has plenty of potential

PS Please give me a bit of feedback on my track - you should see my thread on the forum below yours - 'Underwater themed Trance - 'Nyana' influenced synths' Hopefully its still on the first page. Please give me your commetns

Thanks for the input. Your comments can only make the track better.
Do you think I should change the perc samples, and/or rework the whole perc structure? Percussion is always the hardest for me. I will work on a better mastering, but it sounded fairly good on 4 big systems and my studio monitors. My vocalist has some different melody ideas, she is gonna be in the studio in the next couple weeks laying down some material for me. I will give you guys an updated, and hopefully, better track in the coming weeks.
