REVIEW: Spooky 9 @ Plush

Happy Halloween!!!!!:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :haha:

Well, all I have to say is Alphazone, alphazone, alphazone.... These guys in killed it. I haven't seen an act with that much energy and having that much fun in ages. So much hands in the air and fist pumps going around. More than made up for all the nights 'developments' and some. The Alphazone guys said that they are coming back soon, and I will be in right the front.

Lisa Lashes was sick also, I loved the cut up Ferry Corsten - Punk.

You know, the vibe was awesome despite the setbacks we faced, and in the end, it turned out to be a phenominal party. For all the peeps who didn't come for whatever reasons....you suck...you missed a great one..

Big thank to Twisted, Swingkids, and Cargo...... thanks for the party, and for making sure we all had an amazing night. Cheers!

Peace,
Rich

Richard, do you have any idea what the first track was that alphazone played when they came on? Arne told me, but I can't find it anywhere. Something like Cry "Sixth Sense" something along those lines. I've heard it before, but could never figure out what it was. Somebody help me find this tune! Point in fact, Alphazone took Spooky to another level. Such high energy trance. They played their new single coming out on Waterworld in a few weeks, entitled "Flashback", also their new remix for Dumonde, and a bunch of other crazy ass anthemy stuff. I think I heard the "Sensation Anthem 2004" in there as well as "Rockin". And Lisa Lashes was a doll, very down to earth, adorable woman, and boy did she rock it! Chilling w/ Alex & Arne after the show was very cool and listening to their stories about how they stumbled upon their signature synth sound completely by accident, also funny to hear they started as wedding djs back home, lmao. All in all a great night, fun times had by all.

What a BULL night!

Ok, so I'm still super pissed that they only announce the "3 DJ Line-up" the night before... no PUSH, I want my money back, but that's besides the point now, listen up.

So Adrienne and I try to get our money back for our tickets. They said I have to mail mine away, no problem... but Adrienne had bought a ticket fo rthe Cargo event last week... before they released to new line up without Push and Rank 1!!! So now she's not allowed to get her money back for her ticket because it was a Cargo ticket.

So we go back to the car and decide they we shoudl just go anyway! We convince our friend, who was driving us around, to come in with us. He buys a ticket off someone outside for $40 and then when we get to the door... The freaking owner of the club will not accept our out-of-province ID's! OFF!

I've been to Plush 3 times in the past month to support the artists appearing there adn then all the sudden he's not even willing ot look our our ID's for a 2nd time. All he says is "I can't expect these, and I don't have to tell you why" WTF!!!!

So luckily our friend got his money back from the person he bought it off. We then went and tlaked to the guy in the Greyline booth who apparently was running SPooky, and he went and talked to the owner at the door. He wouldn't even listen to anything he had to say. Just syaing that it's his club and he can't get caught! CAN'T GET CAUGHT WITH WHAT???? I'm freaking 26 years old!

So needless to say, I will probably never enter Plush Nightclub again.
It's too bad so many DJ's go there, because now those talented DJ's will no longer have my support at that club. It's a damn shame the place is run by total s!

This ends my perfect week of getting ed over! First my job, then my house, then no Push, then not allowed in the club that I travelled hours to get too.
