traktor and 2 sound cards... doesn't work??

I currently play with Myxoft's dss dj. I use my on board sound card as the master output and a usb(iMIC) for the monitor
I was trying to use traktor, but it won't let me use the two sound sources. The only options are to pick any ONE of the sources and use it mono with the master on the right and monitor on the left.
I even have a USB surround sound card, and it won't even let me put the monitor on the front channels and the master on the rear channels.
How is possible to use this setup for real then if those are the only options?

If you have two separate sound cards, get ASIOx (http://www.asiox.tk/).
If you only have one, I have no idea what to do... I can select separate surround channels in traktor with my build-in sound card. |

If you have a basic soundcard, Traktor will only see "2" channels (basically left and right I believe). You'll need a soundcard + drivers that will support more than 2 channels.
Traktor as far as I know doesn't support multiple soundcards :( Dunno about ASIO drivers though. |

Yeah, I forgot about ASIO, that will work... Time to get a new soundcard... lol

So with the Audiophile 2496 and the ASIOx drivers, you will be using the left and right channels as separate mono outputs?
Oh yea i'm runnnin an Audiophile 2496 and a sound blaster live.. so the ASIOx drivers will let me use both SBLive and Audiophile simultaneously in Traktor? |

if you have Traktor DJ Studio, then you cant work with 2 sound cards.
you must have one sound card with 4 channels. (2 outputs)
But...if you use Traktor DJ Mixer then you can use 2 sound cards.;) |

| I have two soundcards on my computer. one that came with the computer and a soundblaster audigy ls. is there any way i can have the computer use both sound cards. I have them both plugged in but for some reason when i have the sounblaster on the computer does not detect my other soundcard |

| I'm having a different problem. I have Traktor DJ Studio 2.5.1 for Mac OS X, and I'm trying to use my PowerBook's built in soundcard as a monitor w/ headphones, and a USB sound card, the M-Audio Sonica as the master. I can select both sound cards fine in the preferences, but once I close the preferences the program crashes. |

| is it me or does the original first traktor work better and is easier to use than traktor 2 and above. That is why i am going to get tables and dj like that |
