Charlotte came ready to party, I can say that much. Liquified deserves a HUGE pat on the back for this show. This was the first time I had been to Veloctiy and I definitely hope it won't be the last. The opening DJ had the place rockin' up until 1 when Tiesto came on. This is the 4th time I had seen Tiesto and it was the best! I haven't seen a DJ get this much love in quite some time. I remember getting up on the stage at the point that Tiesto came on and looked out on the massive crowd - unbelievable! Velocity is the perfect venue for a DJ of this caliber. If I had to guess, I'd say that there were upwards of 2500+ people there. I'm not sure of the actual capacity of the club (someone please fill me in on this if they know), but it seemed that there were far more people there than I'd ever seen at any Eleven 50 show. Tiesto kept the crowd going non stop until 4. I bellieved that Velocity stopped serving alcohol around 2am, but it didn't seem like that stopped anyone from sticking around.
I couldn't ID about the first 45 minutes worth of tunes, but here are some that I could remember (in no sepcific order):

| glad you enjoyed yourself. NC state law says no alcohol after 2 but at least the club can stay open late.I wouldnt say there were 2500+ there. I would guess 1200 i could be wrong though. What i love about the club is the huge main dancefloor where everyone can see the dj. It was a fun night and an amaizing crowd |

Glad you had a good time from ATL. Capacity of the venue is about 12-1500 and it is a sick club. This was actually my 7th or 8th time seeing Tiesto and it was the best for me as well. Scott Modie ing rippied it up before Tiesto. I am so glad I only had to drice 5 miles for this one. Dream Beamz, you did a good job with the lasers and the VJ held it down as well. I id'd most of those songs as well, but the first 45 minutes I didn't recognize either. Probably some new cd-r's in there as dj's usua;;y do in smaller venues early in their tour. I went ing crazy when he played Lethal Industry.
For a city known as hating trance, we showed up in full force. Good job everyone. |
