Armin van Buuren: Vancouver Review

once we get this situation cleared up I'm sure they can be posted again... I believe they're mainly concerned about a complete taping of his performance being put online.

i think armin is getting too paranoid about the illegal mp3 scene :\

Regarding the Armin video recorded at the October 8th show in Vancouver, just to clarify, it is not a full live set or anything similar. Its a twelve minute documentary style piece with bits of our interview with Armin and clips taken throughout the night. There has been some confusion over some footage that was placed online for download. Twisted Productions (the production company behind this event) was contacted regarding this footage as Armin's agency believed we were the ones who had filmed it. This is not the case as our footage was never released. We have just finished editing this past weekend and are still pending approval from Twisted Productions.

My understanding is that, while Armin's agency is all for promotional footage (such as ours), they are strictly against amateur footage that would showcase an entire set, their fear being that it could be bootlegged as a dvd or illegally broadcast as an mp3. Hopefully, our footage in its edited form will be available to view eventually, but we just need to make sure these legalities are put to rest first. Anyone with further questions regarding this issue, feel free to ask and I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge.

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

i wouldnt worry about armin's set being recorded in full, people recorded bits with their digital picture cameras and those have a limits on how long your vid is, usually

Precisely my thinking aswell, I bought this up too, however it is Armada's contention that they found a 12 minute clip from this show available for download. While I understand their perspective, I think they're behaving a little overzealously, imo. Hopefully this issue can be put to rest soon so we can make our own mini-documentary available to the public.
