Hola,
Forgive me for writing in English, but I have a question I am hoping someone can answer. How difficult is it for an amateur DJ like myself (in to Trance and progressive) to DJ in small club or bar in South America, in particular Buenos Aires?
When I last visited early 2003 (I am from San Francisco), I felt that Bs.As. was a good opportunity for DJing, but I never really got to talking to anyone about it because I was only there a few days. I was unable to find decent record shops, and was hearing some older, repetitive music even at places like Big One and Mint (could have just been the DJ and the fact that he was playing for hours and ran out of tracks). Of course, with the internet and file sharing, music is quickly in the hands of many these days....
Anyways, I appreciate your thoughts on this, and sorry again for not writing in spanish.
I'll be in Bs.As. from November to January, as well as Brazil during Carnaval and I'll be bringing my CDs with me just in case I can spin! IF anyone knows of anything please let me know! My last demo can be found at my site listed below. |
