If youre not a fergie listener, this probably wont interest ya the least bit.
Anyway, you lucky bastards get to enjoy this weekly show every saturday night. Since its so readily available, im sure many of you havent noticed that there is literally nobody out there releasing the weekly shows for the rest of the world. Though that isnt my intention. All that ofcourse is available, is the dinky downloadable real audio stream, which ive been relying on for about 6 months.
Basically at this point, im willing to go a distance to get my hands on quality weekly recordings. I'm sure most of you already have radios with a headphone jack and an audio card with a line-in, which is all that is necessary excluding software (which I can provide).
Its literally as simple as plugging it in, turning the radio on, and setting up the recording app to automatically record at the start time of the show. All mp3 encoding is done during recording. No commercial editing etc. by you is necessary.
If any of you are interested, let me know. If not, by all means, dont worry about it. Just thought i'd give it a try. |

it varies. sometimes it will be quite high quality then all of a sudden it will change bitrate, to stop people ripping :)
i would totally do it for you (i have a DAB digital radio so it would be mega high quality too) but i am usually out when fergie's show is on.
find out if anyone has digital television next to the computer, you will get the same high quality output, so long as the tele has a headfone jack (most of the time you can hook it up through a hifi anyway) and good sound hardware inside. |

well, the problem is the radio 1 stream is basically a 32Kbps stream.
Fortunately they keep the stream up on the website for a week until the next show, for you to listen, and I ofcourse, use an app and just plain download it. I sure wish I had satellite TV like in the old days, and could just tune in on the music channel.
I've even had zero luck with broadcast relays (people in the UK who are simply broadcasting radio 1 at a higher bitrate) Nobody seems to be doing it.
Thanks for the interest/replies so far guys. |
