fck! $50! i knew they were gonna charge that at the door
but it wasnt signum's fault. it was one of those things that happen and theres nothing anyone can do about them, except for making the best of it like tayfoon said.
danny's set was awesome! i havent heard him play this style of trance in a while, got lots of people dancing rather early in the night. kerry's set was also good, i actually enjoyed the tracks he played, they may not have been hot off the press but they were good nonetheless.
the turnout was pretty good, even tho the guys expected more people. think danny said there was something like 400 people. i think for an opening night, thats pretty good. wait till the word gets out, more people will be showing up :)
major props to the promoters, they put a lot of effort into the show, which turned out A OK :) |

where do i begin?As many of you know there was an incredible amount of work that went into this show.So you can imagine the complete devastation we were all experiencing when we received the bad news.Do you guys even realize how hard it was for any of the guys to play?Our hearts really not into it because of the circumstances.We would like to extend a huge apology to everyone for Signum not being there,it was out of our hands,flight delays are not something we can control.So we tried to make some good from a horrible situation.Danny started things off well with a great opening set.Then i was asked to play,i was going to play a similar slower building set then marty came and asked me to play some more familiar uplifting stuff so i said the hell with it i`m playing some old` school .Have ya ever played when your dissappointed and angry at the same time?It`s not quite as fun to play when your all down but i tried to make the best off it.So i played a completlely freestyle set of some stuff i thought the crowd would know pretty well.From the response i got from the peeps during and after i thought they enjoyed it quite a bit.There was the odd cut that i missed on timing but for the most part they were on time.And as far as mixing went i know i was on point.Here is a track listing

Well, well, well. What a great TA turnout. It's good to finally meet some other TA's. And THANK GOD Elena has those pics, because I've been remember names and faces, but couldn't put 2 and 2 together. Goddamn beers were goin down so smooth! LOL :toothless
Oh yeah, and too many Sean's. haha
I had a great night still. I was really frustrated that Signum wasn't showing, but seeing they're making it up in Nov, I'm over it.
I liked the local DJ's too. I was in no state of mind to pay attention to their mixing, but I heard some good tracks that had me moving... Someone mentioned a 2004 remix of Matt Darey - Nocturnal Delight. Anyone got anymore info on the new remix? Excellent track!
So I'll be down again for Armin on Friday, this time I'm tryin to bring a few more Whistlerites with me.
