radio? nein im club, z.b. letzten freitag in berlin. das hört sich doch verdammt gut an:

Prepare to open your ears and your minds to Laurent Garnier and Jeff Mills playing back to back pure Music. Not just Techno not just House, just Music. All Music. Good Music. But why would two of the worlds leading Techno DJ’s want to play you their music? Jeff and Laurent have been friends for a very long time and have often DJ’d together all over the world. Last summer whilst hanging out together they realised that they were both experiencing similar frustrations with regards to DJ-ing, feeling stuck in a more and more narrow-minded musical environment. Added to this was a shared perception that creativity has been running low in recent times. Jeff and Laurent realised that they had a lot in common. And the more they talked the more they realised that their beginnings in music were also greatly similar. You may think a black kid growing up in Detroit and a white kid growing up in Paris couldn’t have much in common. Think again. Way back when Laurent and Jeff were growing up house and techno did not exist (yes they are that old!). Above all they both had a profound love of music that they wanted to share with people. Being too young to play in clubs, both Jeff and Laurent had radio shows. Whilst Laurent had his own pirate radio show on Radio Teenager every Friday, Jeff had a show on WDRQ in Detroit. They were listening to the same tracks at the same time. Before the house and techno explosion and a love for all kinds of music. This did not disappear with the arrival of house and techno. And it is now that they want to share this with people, to share with people the records they listened to then and still listen to today. And maybe, just maybe, this might set off a creative process enabling electronic music to take a new direction. So come with an open mind and a smile and be ready to dance till dawn.took them both by storm Laurent and Jeff shared a huge musical culture!
