So I step into FYE today (for the first time in a hell of a long time) to pick up JZ's last CD (Alive) and on comes a familiar song.
After listening to it for a while I was able to ID it as "The Postal Service - Such Great Heights". What was weird about it was the fact that it was extremely slow and was sung by a deeper male vocalist.
Following up that song was "Frou Frou - Let Go", the song that was used in the teaser trailer for Garden State. I actually enjoy that song a lot so I was pleased to hear that FYE was playing it (along with Such Great Heights, which is yet another awesome song).
So anyways, for the umpteenth time, has anyone heard any good tunes in stores as of late? What stores and what tunes? Do tell. :) |

I only listen to Trance with bitches singing. Don't like males. That's why I switched from Heavy Metal in the first place because I got real tired of some drug addict whining through vocals.
:D

Yeah actually I was in the local record store at college, and usually they play obscure indie and emo stuff that i don't really know
but this time they were playing The Kinks - Living on A Thin Line

Thanks for the info on the CD, guys.
It really was great hearing these mellow tunes in such a mainstream-based store. |
