September 25th - 26th, 2004

Harvest festival is an annual autumn festival dedicated to self-expression and community. The festival is a place of choice and action, a place to share in the primal, communal vibe inspired by music, people and natural beauty. It’s a place to exercise creativity, where we gather to create, experience and discover.

At the hub is a huge bonfire, it's the focal point that draws people together. From here you can visit three unique musical environments as well as the kitchen where free & tasty garden goodies can be enjoyed throughout the night.

Each year the festival gets better and better; we look forward to your participation!

more info from the Promise people:

Now that summer is drawing to a close, and doing it really warmly, We look forward to the annual Harvest Festival on beautiful farmland outside of Toronto. Each year this has been our favourite event in and around Toronto because of the level of imagination, effort, organization and general intensity. This year we are proud have been included in the event as organizers and have been working hard to put it together over the last month. It feels great to be intimately involved in an event we have admired for so long.

The Harvest Festival is an annual large scale event and seems to culminate all the excitment and energy people have generated in the summer in a healthy and powerful celebration of the change of the seasons. This starlit event features 3 music areas - a thumping barn full of techno music, comfy dreamy domes and other structures housing groovy chill out music and also a blacklight psychedelic stage for the primal energy. There is also one of the biggest bonfires you will ever see and a free kitchen with fresh vegetarian harvest treats. This event is lovingly put together and built with the caring hands of dozens of volunteers who just appreciate building something special and the party is always memorable for so many. It is on a beatiful piece of land just an hour from Toronto - a big gently sloping valley full of cows and haybales. The cost of the event is carefully kept as low as possible so it can be accessible for everyone. If you want to get a sense of the event, there are dozens of picures of past ones on the website and they are cool to look at.
