With so much bull going around here these days, lets put some of that egotistical (my E-Pen0r is bigger than yours) to some good use. And salvage some of that intellect if any and place it in here regarding the up and coming election.
Which person is best suited for the job?
Is your mind made up already?
Do you even vote?
Also does anyone vote on the policies that each party brings out? |

Same, something mighty significant would have to happen for me to change. I don't mind some Labour policies, although some are blatant popularist (?) policies that won't work, but they'd it up anyway, along with the economy and do a crappy job of running the country. The Libs would do a better job of running the country, Johnny = much better leader. If I had ANY confidence in Labor and their ability to run the country I might vote for them, but even though I don't like a couple of Lib policies (Tax, Hecs) I'm voting for them.
Greens and Democrats are a bunch of knobs who don't know .
Yes I vote, Yes my mind is made up.
Sorry for being a prick, but Wax you're not voting for Howard unless you vote in Bennelong, you vote for your local Liberal member. |

Don't really care about the Lower House, just make sure you vote for the Dems in the senate. This goes for Liberal voters too: if the Dems lose enough seats, then it's the Greens who will hold the balance of power there. Wouldn't you prefer to have us there instead?

It makes me weep openly that people like you have a say in how my life is going to be run for the next 3 years. |

ok i come from a strong liberal background / family, but im really at a loss as to who to vote.
Liberal: they ed up with the whole war thing, i cant support them because of that.
Labour: have good policies for environment, health, education. I went and heard Peter Garret speak few weeks ago - but Labour will also be for things that im against.
Greens: well u'd think i would be voting for them - but no, although im pretty much a hippy when it comes to environmental issues, they also support things that i dont.
Democrats: are they even worth considering? really?
So im still deciding. |

No point in voting for the lower-house candidates but like I said, vote for them in the senate. At least that way - regardless of whether it's Johnny or Biffo who wins the election - they're not going to be able to things up too much. |

Im voting based on my profession
liberals have royally ed up medicare, less incentives to bulk bill meaning a back log of non-severe cases in the emergency departments. Why is there a 6-8 hr wait to get a bed let alone to see a doctor, because people front to triage with minor things
Its a big ask to improve health and health care but atm i dont see the liberals doing that. |
