yes guys i just got the game down here , it costs ... HOLD YOUR BREATH ... 4$ US , yes 4 in US Dollars , 400 cents :D haha
the menus and everything are in japanese , even the clubs and players names.
give me a little more time and i'll try to make a whole review. |

| Yeah how did you get it and for so little? Im guessing you have a mod chip and downloaded the game from some Japan site. Anyway looking forward to the game will be the first time I puchase this game(series) as I am going to buy Fifa as well and compare. Die hard Fifa fan by the way. |

yes i have a modchip
in Casablanca we have a fleet market called Derb Ghellef , they sell all kind of things for cheap (piracy of course) , from video games to movies to music etc ... you name it , they have it (a copy) for cheap !!
you're wondering how they got all these brand new unreleased games for cheap , it's easy : they have specialized persons who download the games (it's not hard to find on the net) , burn them on DVDs (i'm talking full game nothing ripped or removed) , then they sell each copy for 2$US.
let's get back to the game , first of all the presence of the referee is somewhat annoying for me , i keep on thinking it's the opponent. before the end of each half , a little board shows up in upper-left corner of the screen telling you the "dead-time" (donno how you say it in english). the greatest thing i found so far is : when you play against it , the computer makes faults and lots of them (just like you would see on a real football game) !! awesome thing that lacked in every single football game i played before.
the only negative point is : the game lags , specially when there's a corner kick or a free kick near the opponent's goal. apparently the console doesn't support the concentration of a lot of player in the same zone , and i had similar problems with FIFA2004 ... i don't know if the game is like this , or maybe my PS2 is getting old !
graphically the game is "BEAUTIFUL" , that's how i would describe it. it's like a combination of FIFA's 2004 graphics with the PES3 gameplay. 3 full liscenced leagues are available : CALCIO LIGA and the dutch league.
that's all i have to say for the moment , keep in mind i played only 4 or 5 games so far since i was busy all day. i'll tell you more things as i discover them.
FabioCannavaro : i used to be like you , someone who adored and played ONLY the FIFA series , then i tried PES3 , found it very difficult , very rubbish ... but once you learn how to play it , you're gonna spit on FIFA , trust me on this :D |

Im actually very excited to play both games. Fifa looks great as they added many things including creating players and a "Fifa shop" where you can buy balls, kits, referees!, and boots. You also can choose your people in the broadcast booth!
Winning XI looks good as well because it actually has the Nike logo on kits! Why Fifa can have Brasil have a nike logo but not on Man U, Arsenal or Inter is beyond me. |

I have it also :D :D was wating for it for the longest time i got it for free my buddy preorderd it from japan then he burned it.
although everything is in japanese you can find your way through, the game play is better but u need to get used to it, its like the switch from WE 6 to 7, u dont like it at first but once u get used to it u cant look back.
love the new features the movement of the players has become more realistic and seeing the player warm up if you want to switch is nice, having the ref in the game and the ball hit him gives it a real feeling and having him actually flagging for offside(this might get annoying later on). it has better dribbling control, hold the pass button longer he passes it to the further player, the best feature i found is when you press select as you are shooting a free kick two players show up so you can fake a shot or choose wich one to shoot with, and they finally gave Ronaldinho the stats he deserves 97 for dribbling:eyes: they also gave Aimar and Adriano respectful stats also.
thier are so many clubs to choose from it took me a while to find Arsenal, you can choose the team then they show you the actual uniform only unlike the WE 7 where they show the player.
My game slows down as well when you get a corner or a penalty kick as for the negetives i need to get used to it first then i'll report to you on that and that will take time considering ITS IN JAPANESE!!
As for Fifa, Fifa is horse crap compared to the WE/PE series, the only fifa that was good is the one on the SNES and the Sega Genesis even then Konami had thier International superstar soccer series that imo was way better than fifa but not as popular. |
