VIVID Sessions Fridays is proud to present one of the core pioneers in Detroit techno and electronic music as we know it. Everyone from Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and Derrick Carter regards Kevin as a legend and pioneer. Since 1983, as part as the Belleville 3, Saunderson fused electro, disco, jazz and new wave into what is know known as house and techno. As part of Inner City, his soul-infused anthems reached #1 on the charts 12 times and reshaped the future of Dance music as we know it. Look for a set of classic house and Detroit techno.

THIS IS SERIOUS FUNK IN THE TRUNK DANCE YOUR ASS OFF TECHNO........Makes me feel silly for having trance in my pants sometimes. (only sometimes though)

Kevin Saunderson is definitely a legend, but also still pushing himself and his sound forward unlike alot of the past legend
Obviously he has been a pioneer to not only house and techno, but also helped take electronic music to a whole new level. but also out of the true pioneers, he is one of the only ones to still:
- Have a huge touring schedule, and overseas 3 out of 4 weeks
- Intense production and remix schedule under his many names
- Still releasing major mix cd's
- And pushing his skill forward.. 3 Turntables w/ Final Scratch
the only other North American legend I can think of still doing all these is Frankie Knuckles. Saunderson isn't someone getting ahead on his past accomplishments, he always has been a forward thinking musician and dj, and continues to be now |

We also have Mr. Kyle Nordman opening up for the legendary Saunderson. Often playing down his 6 years of dj experience, many international gigs, and deep connections with some of the biggest names around, Kyle has defined a very unique sound for himself. Taking the best elements from Techno, Breakbeats, and Tribal, his dj'ing conitues to gain praise from the many different areas of the electronic genres. But also as a producer, his productions have been charted by several artists and requested by Danny McMillan and Hybrid. Professionally and as part of his 'Amnes live' project, he has devoted his life to creating music for all environments. Keep an ear out for the new Amnes single which is currently being roadtested by a few select dj's around town, rock-infused- tough-breakbeat....
