I probably shouldn't comment here, seeing as im 18, but I have been to two TA meets and then gone home without going to the club. So, any points there?

You can count on me and MikeFasssy in the scene when we age sufficiently. Haha, looks at me strike the match (People saying they'll come and don't), maybe i shouldn't speak too soon.

Wow, i'm writing way more than i set out to.
Mirka you don't know me at all (I'll take this moment to introduce myself, my name is Adam), but if it's worth anything coming from me I would say your passionate enthusiasm makes you a great promoter.

I think alot of people in vancouver COULD like electronic, they just dont get any exposure. I cant even count the number of people I have converted to strong trance lovers over the years. When people think of trance (well, they dont, they think of 'techno') what comes to mind? Darude, Alice Deejay, DJ Sammy. But my respect for the Beat 94.5 went through the roof when the started airing Pete Tong's essential mix.

Damn this is WAY too long, no one's even gonna read this. I had more to say, but i'll cut her off here.

I just wanna say afew things, Mirka, reading your postings and hearing about your passion for this music, do yourself a favour and NEVER leave it, you seem to put so much in and get nothing in return, yet you keep doing it, I really think for people like this, only good things can eventually come, its also good to see somebody who feels music the same way as me.

As for the going out to clubs thing, people say they don't wanna go out on a thursday night, that theres never enough people who want to go out, well one club here called Outlaws is open on that night, and its nearly always packed, and its a club, but they play the latest crap from a CD they bought from HMV each week, if that is possible, then packing a tranc club is also possible.
Drinking, you said you have to drink, you can go out to any club on any night and you don't have to drink, so that is not an excuse to not go, if your really into the music, drinks don't matter.
And finally locals, I've seen all the big DJs many times, I've been to superclubs before since I lived in England, and I can honestly say, some of the best DJ sets and nights I'v ever had have been by hearing locals in a club that is the size of a basement, and alot of those nights I was SOBER, there really isn't an excuse to not go out any day of the week, I have to get up at 6 for work everyday, and I'll still go out and club till close, even my mate Lazy alot of the time doesn't goto bed after an event and just goes straight to work from the club, just give it a try people, just once, so what if your tired the next day.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, Mirka, Danny, Sean and any other Vancity DJ, be sure to make a posting if any of you come to Cowtown, and if I haven't got plans already, I'll be there, screaming and going nuts, oh and try and play at Drunken Monkey, cool club with cool people.
