| i'm usually cueing with my left ear and recently i realized that its more clear using my rite ear for cueing.. then i want to change to rely with my rite ear for cueing because it more clear but i feel its more comfortable using a left ear for cueing for many reason...soon i realize that my left ear is little deaf! then its made me remember that when i was child my friends like to make a suprise by shouting next to my ears.. it makes me want to rip all their penis so they can feel how DJ's feel if their ears are flawed!!!:whip: any advices to solve this problem!! thanks for hearing my sadness:( |

yeah, as with eyes, once the damage is done there is little anybody can do except prevent it from getting worse. :/
if it is a result of your family, they should have known better :whip: |

dude, my one friend is almost completely deaf in his left ear... and he can DJ w/ no problems.... I still can't figure it out... but he does it and he's just as good as me or anyone else I know....
The only thing I've noticed is that he'll have the headphones turned ALL the way up and mix w/ it partially off his good ear...So I guess he's listening to both in his one ear...
Weird...:conf: :conf: |

| so DJs are born to deaf... all the money we're collecting from DJing will entirely used for ear surgery..:nervous: |

Hey mate,
Kinda doubt your childhood friends are resposible for hearing damage....but that doesnt matter. I guess theres no way around it though, but if your able to cue and beatmatch using left ear (even tough the hearing is worse on it), then whats the problem? I would be more worried about loosing my hearing tempoarly (as its the most valued posession for a Dj)..
ps. See you're from jakarta..I live there too :). You going to Jakarta Movement next week?? Dont wanna miss Jonathan Lisle ;) |

Mate..you need to check out CO2 @ Embassy with Dj RiRi. They play trance up until 8/9am specially for the people rolling on E ;). But I have to agree with you..there are way too many prog & tribal house Djs in Jakarta.
..But dont worry, when I get back next summer from uni I'm gonna introduce Jakarta to trippy Epic & israeli PsyTrance...they gonna be blown away :toothless |
