Sasha at Fabric last night

A night of truly epic proportions
sasha played 2-7.30 and it was an amazing set
his style is so diverse these days, its hard to appreciate if youer just listening to involver or download some of his internet sets...
he played very proggy compared to his gig an shindig last month, also less house and more electro-ish stuff and very little in the way of breaks
95% of the tunes i didnt recognise, there was some that i could recognise but was too ed to ID them. he did, however play
unkle - in a state (twice)
satoshi tomiie - up in flames
papua new guinea again
spektrum - kinda new (tiefschwartz dub) - i used to not like this tune but its grown on me and sounds wicked live
kosmas epsilon ft eleana - shame
and im sure he also played chris lake & rowan blades - filth

moment of the night was him playing primal scream - some velvet morning (luke fair dub) at 6.50AM he actually played it twice - played it, mixed it into a kind of drum loop, then mixed the tune in again ing fantastic, I was really hoping he'd play this and it sounds so amazing on the fabric sound system :D

he didnt play burma which i was surprised but you cant have it all

you knows it! was faaar too busy in there at the start, couldnt get peace to dance without some lardy bouncing off you every 2 secs. once we found some space it was all good though. sasha played a pumping, techy set plenty of trance style pounding basslines on that excellent Fabric soundsystems.

tune of the night for me was the Holden mix of brittany spears-breathe he played it twice!  soo uplifting. also jfos-do what you want. which i was very pleased about. only bad thing ois the breaks he was playing, compared to room 2 matt cantor and craig richards stuff, they sounded so flat. i think he should just get on with playing 4/4 and the odd breaks track or start playing good breaks

I couldn't agree more. That night was absolutely amazing. You TA's that were there probably saw me and my lady as we were the most energetic and active dancers out there. If you saw some kid raving out and just breaking it down along with my girl also breaking it down... that was us. Yea It was a little crowded, however i would expect as much being it was Sasha at the best club in London...

The first hour of sasha's set was awsome, and the the only buzzkill was some shady dude cutting open my girls bag, in an attempt to steal . Luckily she felt it and turned around.

We showed up at 10 pm cuz we didnt have presale tix so we wanted to get in for sure. And there was no way i was missing sasha at fabric, cuz i had been waiting years to see sasha in a small venue and not at a festival.

Even the other rooms were hella sweet. I caught the end of the opening dj in the third it was cool, but the end of the live act around midnight in the 2nd room was stellar. His mixing and scratching and breakdowns were out of control. Not to mention the laser that rivals the lasers at the guv in toronto (biggest club in north america) what a night. :D

The moment of the night for me was after sitting outside in the stairways around 4:30 due to being exhausting having spent 60 pounds on drinks starting at 7pm till 4 and starting to get a lil annoyed with people bumping into me cuz they were kkked up. and we were going to leave because our bodies ached and we just sat there in a druunken stupor laughing about nothing until i heard a sweet baseline come up. went down to the vip entrance listened a bit and then went down. He ended up mixing into my fav song from involver and there was even a bit of room near the front of the room so i broke it down hardcore.

Also around 3:30 when he did a 15 minute build up. with a couple of diff songs was unbelievable :tongue2 it just kept building and after the 15 min or so the base fully hit and the place went ballistic.

Im a tranceaddict from the states and this club just blew any club or club night for that matter in the states out of the water. Such a sweet club with an amazing vibe. Everyone was at the least bobbing there head to the chill beats of sasha.

Fabric is amazing... and so is sasha.
