This weekend we have a couple of new angles to the Cherry Beach Soundsystem.
Weekend Cd swap
This Sunday is a chance for you to bring some cds that you haven't listened to in a while and trade them off for a potential new favourite from someone else. The obvious type of music would be electronic, but feel free to bring anything you like from classical to old rock favourites and jazz and anything. There will be a little area for this to happen, or just come up near the dj booth and ask how it will all work. I've been looking for a copy of Leftfield's Leftism if anyone wants to trade it for an old circuit house album. Please.
1pm Yoga Class by Sahar
We've been thinking of our yoga-loving friends lately and have decided to have a pre-soundsystem class this week. The new location is so lush and green and spread out that it is perfect for early afternoon yoga among the grasses and sounds of birds. The class will be led by Sahar, who has been involved in successful yoga parties and is a personal trainer specializing in Pilates. Bring a blanket or towel for comfort.
Djs:
Jacob London, Seattle. This duo is highly respected and is described as musically and generally crazy. They play techy house incorporating wierd funky sounds, like a housey version of the Dukes. They will be playing from 8:30-10pm.

Bring a frisbee, bring a kite, bring a handy sweater, bring a dog (only nice dogs), bring your lover and a hammock. And pass the time on this lazy sunny sunday afternoon with friends and friends of friends.
Take Lakeshore Blvd East of Toronto, just past Parliament Turn sound south down Cherry Street all the way to the parking lot at the end and go east into the parking lot at your left. At the furthest east of the parking lot, walk along the bike path, then turn left up into the trail into the woods…you'll hear music. If you end up at the lake, you are going the wrong way.
Biking to Cherry Beach is easy along the trails beside the lakeshore, and there seems to be a new bus service that goes all the way down to the beach finally – the Pape 725.
things to think about:
Please don't bring more than you plan to take back out with you - leave no trace.
Bring something warm and something to sit on and also something to keep sun off your head
