Cos once again, when i've been to a few clubnights here where you pay at the door i get asked, but whenever i pre-purchase tickets to a big event/DJ, i just dont get asked - its as if the bouncers think "well they've just spent $60 on a ticket, so who really cares". It's whack really, you get a gun & can drive at 16, yet not party hard until 21?

hahaha... yup... sorry we lack consistency over here :D You can sometimes get away without getting carded, but you just have to look old enough and the bouncer has to be in a good mood. |

Or you need to flirt. Its amazing what you can get away with if you show a little boobage and flash a smile. Maybe wink... I dont know. Im 20 and I looke like Im still 15 so Ive had to be sneaky for most of my partying career. Its harder for underage guys to get into clubs around here, though. That might have been obvious though... ;) |

oh, they CARE. trust me. :mad: the only time i ever got turned down w/ a fake was when i HAD presales.
i'm sure a lot more youngn's would use fakes if they could, but it's difficult for a few reasons: 1) good fakes are hard to find, 2) door security is getting tougher w/ monitor screens and whatnot, 3) US IDs are a lot harder to fake, so unless you have one from a different state, the bouncer can usually tell the difference, and 4) it's kinda tough to actually look 21+ when you're only 16 or 17.
i look young, but i barely ever get carded when i go out up here in WI since my bf is older. |
