speaking of weed, could somebody expand a little more on the issue. i've gotten too used to the convenience of being able to walk 10 minutes and be able to buy my weed. where can i and cannot smoke the stuff in canada? how much can i carry on me? and all that kind of blah blah. |

Exergo, Do you go to that school? if you dont then you dont have any place to talk on this matter. I have spent the last 2 and a half years of my life pretty much living at that school, not to mention 24 grand in tuition. I was there when it was a privatly run institution (CDIS) and i was there when it was bought out by AI. And i am still here (at school right this minute) during this god awful transition phase.
So you want me to explain the AI nazis comment well i will for your benifit . Anway me and my 2 roomates (Also High level audio students) Were lucky enough to be around during the initial AI takeover. Wanna know what was first up on AI's agenda? Yep an %8 tuition hike, and you figure that if your pay more you would be getting more perks at the school, NOT so, right after the tuition hike they TOOK AWAY our 24 hour access to studios. Ill tell you right now in a program like this, you NEED 24 hours access, I do %90 of my work from midnight till 8am. So eventually after 3 months of outright protests and threats of law suites by students they FINALLY gave us back the 24 hours access. Ill tell you one thing those 3 months were so stressfull that you spent more time worrying about what AI was ganna do next then on your courses. oh and when your paying close to 13 grand a year you want to get as much studio time as you can, that was 3 montsh of prime late night studio access that we will never get back. Next up was dealing with teachers, Some of the schools best teachers are being run out cause AI wont deal with their contracts. Courses are being lined up to be changed because they dont want to pay royalties to the teachers that designed these courses from the ground up. Already the entire audio program is beeing overhauled, expect HUGE changes in the next 2 years.
this is the tip of the iceberg I could go on and on about this but i dont really feel like typing any more. But really i guess its to be exected when a private institution gets steam rolled by a big faceless american company. Ill tell you that CDIS when it was still alive was an awsome place to be, Now you spend more time worrying about "Whats next" then you do on your courses, and thats not right.

not really sure what you were trying to do with this comment, Maybe trying to discredit me or somthing. I would listen to the students that actually go to this school over your highschool any day. Ask any audio student what they think about AI and you will hear the same storys. |

| hey apri_peel, a lot of us are just sick of our government and our society.IM getting sick of jobs wanting u to work 60 or more hours a week cause its what americans do. We are a society based on material things, thats y all the rappers ever talk about is money and how much they have. This has led many people to want very expensive things in life that they dont need and when they cant get them they get really depressed and get put onto some drugs. Half our damn society is on some type of antidepressant, and i think we have the highest suicide rate. Im also sick of whats going on in our schools, parents think that kids getting picked on does not effect them, look at columbine and other cases like it. I dont want to have children and raise them in this society, i want to let them grow up somewhere that people have more respect for one another. Our government is also talking about trying to bring back the military draft next year, my father was drafted in vietnam and im not being pulled out of my home against my will to fight a war i dont believe in. They said freedom comes with a price, yeah they can send u off to die in a war they started and then get to sit in the white house and interns while we die. Kinda sounds like a tyrant to me. Our society is based on money, just look on the back of our dollar bill, i was not suprised to find out that above the pyramid it says (new world order) in latin. Made me think twice about my government. Girls here dont even want to talk to u unless she thinks u have money to support her ass cause she cant or if she thinks your parents have money. I now know y the world hates us, because of who we worship, we dont worship god, our god is money. Take a look on our bills it says it, in god we trust, i have had god in my pocket this entire time and did not know it. We have pharmacy drugs commmercials running every commercial so they can make people think they need all these drugs. For being the super nation of the world, y do our people have to pay for medical, 30% of our people dont have medical coverage. IF u dont have medical coverage the hospital would rather u just die then come in. DOnt get me wrong i love my country, its where i was born and raised, i just hate our government and what our society has become. We have also accepted hate, the french, them arabs, what the is wrong with these people. FIRst of all i dont blame france for not going to iraq with us and im sad that bush has tony blair by the balls so the british had to. Second, i have met many muslims here and in europe who were some of the monst peaceful people and did not agree with the terrorist attacks. There is a local gas station where i get my gas from and i will not shop there ever again. After the war started the owner thought it would be cool to sell shirts and bumper stickers that said( france) i can believe we have not learned to not teach hate yet. I hope someone from france goes in there and sees that and sues him for a hate crime. NOw u see y many of us (open minded) americans are stating to not like it here so much. YEah we have a beautiful constitution that we dont even use anymore, we gave it to iraq. |

Special K, you need to relax. Like myself, Exergo was never aware of any takeover and its surprising. Ps, Exergo has a very very large background in these things, so maybe you should take his opinion with a little less contempt
sorry to hear about the school changing, but that's the world of private education now. hope everything works out there |
