this resort is full of engligh people every year and fighting goes on every year.... I dont believe the best part of this violence is euro 2004 related.
fact fo the matter is, it happens every year and they invite us back every year with cheap drinks/large screen tvs and cheap package holidays. |
werd. euro2004's official response on this is that the violence is miles away from the games and has spawned from pure drunkeness, and nothing football related. As it is not football related, england will not be thrown out, or considered for it.
no another note about "official responses", calamity james's "official response" after the england game was "i was given video footage by the FA on france and their tatics but nothing contained footage from zidane". Why not just say the freekick was mint and the penalty was mint, we all know ur anyway. |

Yes, English fans tend to go mental a lot. The first time I had any interest in football was in Italia '90. When England got put out fans went on the rampage in London if I remember right :conf:
The last time they were in Ireland a load of them starting ripping the seats out of the stadium after they went 1-0 down (the joy of watching bald heads being opened by batons :haha: ).
A few summers ago it was the same craic when they had to take the water cannons to them.
It's unfortunate that a fairly small number I'm sure spoil everything for everyone else. The fact is the world sees English football fans as wankers (even though most are not). English people abroad and trouble are synonymous. |

it's the multinational tour operators who "invite" us, not the locals, i won't start to write an essay otherwise i'll be on all day hehe.
and the rioting they are showing on tv was apparently started by the police on some other nation rather than the english fans, which just happen to have got recorded and broadcasted
