Absinth?

hey guys... I saw the movie "Eurotrip" the other day and the people were doing shots of Absinth. I was just wondering if the alcohol actually has psychedelic effects like they portrayed it. It must be pretty powerful stuff considering that it is illegal here in the US. Could you guys give me the inside scoop of what it is like? I was thinking about buying a bottle of it from the internet.

| As far as I know its 60% alcohol, strong as ! Where the other night I had one shot of a 63% and mixed with pints and stuff, I was wrecked :tongue2 |

| I drank some on holiday in mallorca. It's the most vile tasting substance I have ever had, altho we were drinking it straight from the bottle, I think your supposed to mix it with sugar then set it on fire first. I never hallucinated tho! |

the 2 varieties i know of are green absinthe 70%, and black absinthe 80% (this one is horrible)
i have a bottle of green from ibiza last year
doesnt have any hallucinogenic effects that ive noticed, but it does get u ed |

Yeah I had it with the sugar and £5 a shot.... :eyes:
I was minced already too.
Then the bar staff stood on the bar and poured after shock straight down my neck. I was being greedy (went up 3 times) so they desided to hold it there (couldn't move that stuff stains).
Anyway only interesting effect of it was I had a weird dream where my pillow was wet.....
Then I woke up the next day my pillow was stuck to my head (actually). The previously redish sheet now had a blue tint. This had happened when I had spewed up basicly pure alchol and it took the dye outta the blue matress and pulled it up into the previously redish sheet.
There were no chunks it was pure liquid. And by the morning it had evaporated away.

100 proof does not = 100% abv :p
when you see 'proof' that means it is measured in degrees, its something like, the temperature to which you can heat 1cm cubed of water in a certain amount of time or something...
but anyway, real absynth is actually illegal here, what you buy usually is imitation absynth. original absynth was actually halucenogenic |

| Got some 80% black absynthe from spain. Couple of them set u up for a good night and its not that bad tasting once uve drank it a few times. No hallucinogenic effects to note as yet tho |
