Good Idea Or Bad Idea?

I have been sitting on a webhost with unlimited bandwidth/space and thought it would probably be worth doing something with it as I hardly use it at the moment. I would very much like your thoughts on an idea of mine.
The Plan
I am hoping to build a database driven PHP site in the next couple of weeks that will play host to media files. These namely being photos and (maybe) video. I often see a lot of people after different events asking to borrow webspace for their images. Now I thought, why not build a site where you can create your own account where you can upload photos to your own gallery and then link to them so people can view them. THis would all be made very simple through the a kind of online web wizard. This would save you the time of having to build the links and write the html code due to it all being done on the fly.
There are actually sites about which offer a similar kind of thing, but the photos are normally restricted to a really low resolution. I was thinking of building something that would have a thumbnail gallery that would then link to a larger hi-res photo. All this would obviously cost nothing as I am a nice guy. I am also researching a way of doing something similar with video.
I seem to remember Swamper talking about integrating this into the forums a long time ago, hopefully this would work until he does this. Maybe the title of this site would be 'Club Media' or something similar.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. Would you use this service? Am I just wasting my time? Do you have any other suggestions?
BTW, as you can tell at present I am extremely bored :) |

| you could always turn the unlimited bandwidth into a perma radio station. then ukta radio could be held 24/7 (ish) and get much more people playing. |
