...back to the topic at hand...

I went into St George yesterday and a teller told me not to worry when overseas as they will "only" charge me $4.00 for a cash transaction and "only" 1.5% on top of visa purchases and it wont work out to be much if I only using my card 2-3 times a day over a period of 3 months...WTF LOL

Will just open a Westpac account. Alli knows best, shes done all the research :)

If you spend $5000 AUD, 1.5% = $75AUD. It's not very much.

nobody said it was very much.........but i personally don't like giving any extra $ that i don't have to to a money hungry evil bank!! and $75 is a couple nites accommodation in europe.....

besides, u can't use credit card for everything - sometimes u do have to withdraw from an atm...and in that situation, it's good to be able to avoid fees :)

nuff said on banks :p
