Planet of The Drums?

lücid
ok, so i'm kind of a n00b when it comes to drum & bass, but 2 of my friends expressed some interest in going to see Planet of The Drums (DIESELBOY/AK1200/DARA/MC J MESSINIAN/SINISTER/DJ DOUBLE J/DIVA D) this friday night @ The Rave, in Milwaukee. we have free tickets which makes it more appealing, but i don't really know what to expect. have any of you seen Planet of The Drums before?

First off, I haven't actually seen Planet of the Drums, but I have seen both AK1200 and Dara live on separate occasions, along with a few other D&B shows (LTJ Bukem, etc)

OK, that being said, what can you expect? Hard and fast beats. Lots of them. Dara and AK rip it, especially live. Also, the people who usually attend D&B events are a little different(not in a bad way) than those at a Trance event.

The only thing that would be of concern is the MC(s). I have had a bad experience with them because all they do is talk gibberish over the beat. Not sure what I mean? Try to listen to AK1200's live CD with MC Navigator. That'll explain my point.

Despite that, when Planet of the Drums is in Detroit (The weekend of the Movement Festival) I'll be there.

I hope this helps, if not, I apologize for wasting your time :)

thanks for the reply, DJ_Bod :)

i'll post back and let you know how it was if i do end up going. i have a feeling that if i do go, it'll be totally spur of the moment. not to mention i gotta save some energy for saturday night.

I seen planet of the drums 4 times around Ohio,Pittsburgh and Buffalo. Well xou can expect killer set from Dieselboy and Dara. AQ 1200 doesnt really spin to hard . You will enjoy it. Maybe it will be a lil hard for you if you into Uplifting trance.
