Wicked Neo

WOW !!!!!!!!!! what a nite last nite was.

Euphoria @ the Ministry of Sound.

The MoS returns to trance/techno in a big way with Dave Pearce and Mauro Picotto in the main arena.

The doors opened at 11pm and the queues were around the block, good job i got there at 10pm and was about 20th in the Q.
From outside the MoS u could hear one of the residents starting up, some sort of cheesy dance tune but who cared, Picotto walked past us shaking hands with all in the Q that recognised him.
So into the club and a couple of beers later and the beats are getting harder from the Bar, nice build up to the main event.

come 1am in the morning and into "the box" which is the main area of the MoS and a Mos Resident is spinning warm up material, mainly commerical trance, Ian Van Dahl, tall Paul Vs Inxs, stuff like that, then 1.30 Am Dave Pearce takes to the decks. . .
Now i know many ppl dont like Dave Pearce and i myself am not too keen on him but he played a good set, a cool mix of older stuff and bang up to date stuff, he of course was playing to get the crowd moving and he certainly acheived that,he started his set with a remake of the Eurthymics - sweet dreams, then into the mix, glow sticks in all directions filled the air as Binary Finary '99 pumped out of the ministrys sound system followed by Push - The Legacy.
His main theme thruout his set was floorfillers and crowdpleasers, stuff like 10th planet - ghosts but it got the crowd going and in the perfect mood for Picotto who at 4.30 am took over the decks with Joy Kitikonti - joyenergizer.
Sweat poured off us all as we danced hard to the sounds, joyenergizer moved into Verdi (megamind mix) and then into katana - fancy fair, then into some brand new stuff, tunes that were hard techno, halfway thru his set he dropped Ulitmahora ibiza and from then on continued with totally new stuff.
6am came around all too quickly, umpteen bottles of water later and incredibly knackered and slightly deafer than we went into the place, mcDonalds for breakfast and the drive home . . .

A brilliant Night and worth every penny..

if Picotto spins a set like this at NEC U got to be there.
I for one will be there just to enjoy Picotto all over again.

i think its good that MOS have finally realsed that they have too many house nights, cos Rulin = House, and Smove - US Garage and House, seems a bit stupid not to have trance nights for a club that realeses trance Nation cds, good change by MOS lets hope they keep moving in the right direction and set up trance nights.

Dave Pearce gets a ruff time from evry1 but his sets are really good, always have loads of energy. Sometimes he plays a little too much hard house but when he drops tracks like DJ Scot P - Overdrive and DJ Wag - The Darkness he more than makes up 4 it. Plus he does like to mix up some old classics in there, last time i saw him he dropped Pulsar in the classic way of looping the Spelling bit and the crowd went mad. I have his autograph too which he signed on a bit of one of his vinyl covers cuz i had no paper! And as for Picotto he is beyond praise he's just awesome.

Peace:D

sounds like mauro P played a similar set to his first 6 hour monstah @ GC hard deep techno kinda flavour to it :D he tends to swing between that and pansy trance tho.. he should stick to the hard stuff heheheh
