paulie,
fair points..
you are correct.. however, whilst bt's album was new
my opinion is that it was a bit of a flop and nowhere
near as good as 'Movements In Stil Life'
you are right though, it takes guts and/or balls to
push new sounds..
i love the m.i.k.e sounds, so i definately will grab
this album, remakes of old tracks or not.
apologies for my immediate jumping down of your throat
however, maybe u could explain your opinions better then
just saying: |
soz soups, i was a bit harsh, but id like to see artists develop, not stay at one place.
Its not i dont like trance, i just think sometimes the people we put our trust into it, are whats stopping it from going forward. |

Just the edit at the end made me laugh.
I love MIKE/PUSH/PLastic Boy etc etc. But I do agree with u a bit on this one Paulie. |

the whole Universal Nation, Strange World, The Legacy sounding tracks were absolute classics........they kept my faith in the genre when I was thinking it was lacking in new ideas in the aftermath of '99.......however since their releases 3+ years ago the trance sound has matured and developed further...
To simply repackage those sounds does, as you say Jules and Paulie, indicates a lacking of imagination.....surely this is artistic suicide? |

uh.. are you guys reading a totally sperate tracklisting? sure, those tracks are from 3+ years ago, but that universal nation 2003 is a 2003 remix.. so saying something like "however since their releases 3+ years ago the trance sound has matured and developed further..." is what i call message board suicide.
..push is one of the very reasons that trance developped anywhere. out of ALL the producers he is the least cheesiest and most innovative. |

i guess if it was a recycled sound i didnt love
then yeh, i would be jumping up and down too paulie
and you are right, hwoever new and different isnt
always right, however you are correct in that
this is a 'play-it-safe' type of album |
