| I have some large avi files. I wanna know how can I reconvert an avi so that it = 699mb. Most of them are 750mb+. What programs do I need. I have virtual dub, but it doesn't allow me to do this. Thx in advanced. |

yeah it's a bitch.
what I usually do is cut the movie into two pieces and burn it on two discs. If you go and try to convert it, you're gonna loose a lot of quality. I also use virtual dub.
That's what I do but if someone knows a better way pls post, I'm curious myself.
Edit: or you can buy 800MB cd's |

That was the 1ast place I dhecked b4 posting here. I know it's possible, because rip-groups always encode to 699mb avi file. |

| It's pretty easy with mencoder, part of mplayer http://www.mplayerhq.hu You can just tell it how big you want the output to be and it multipass encodes it to what ever format you want... Don't know if there is something similar for windoze though... |
