Hey everyone!
I am planning to be an exchange student at Jonkoping next fall.
How is the local scene there? Anyone from there? Drop me an email if you are!

You're pretty lucky. A few weeks ago the police departement of Jönköping decided that they wouldn't allow any more "raves" to be held in the city - which of course upset a lot of clubbers - but just earlier this week they withdrew that desicion, and raves will once again be allowed in the city. Jönköping does without a doubt have one of the best clubbing scenes in the country with a little bit from all the worlds, from techno and trance to goa and psy.
Last year Johan Gielen, Pulser, GTR, Cosmic Gate, Flutlicht, Infected Mushroom, amongs many others, played for the Jönköping crowd. And if rumors are to be believed, there is a lot more to be expected.
The only negative thing about these "raves" are that they very seldom get sold out , and a lot less people show up than sometimes expected - and most of these parties are also alcohol-free due to the minimum age of only 16 years. But small raves are better than no raves at all. :)
And welcome to Sweden by the way :) |

From what I heard there are mostly underground parties... I´m not sure but anyway, you can count the "bigger" parties that have been on one hand... like Midway (gielen, gtr, pulser) 1200ppl(2000tickets)... Trinity II (cosmic gate, flutlicht)
I´m not from there but I´m just guessing... :gsmile: |
