Lecturer strikes

mentalbarter
For those at university.

Currently at Newcastle uni, the lecturers having carried out a 2 day no teaching strike, are currently continuing a no-marking or setting of exam questions strike.
Although not all university staff support the action and thus, apparently, work will eventually be marked by those who are not striking.
Is this happening at other uni's in the country.
At the moment it basically means im not going to graduate when im supposed to.
And surprise surprise its all the government's fault for not raising the pay over the forthcoming years in line the national average wage increases.

What the hell are the biatches whining for now?? They get paid to teach, not fanny about and complain that they're overworked and underpaid. Underpaid my arse, us students have to live on like £4000 a year, and we aint complaining. They wanna sort it out, before I start laying the smackdowns...
